Vehicle Prepper Coventry | £14£19/hr | Temp-to-perm
Every painter knows it: a perfect finish is won or lost at the prep stage. If your flatting and feather-edging are clean and your filler work's flat, the booth makes you look good and you already know that's worth more than most shops pay. This one pays £14 to £19 an hour, on what you can actually turn out.
I'm Roland 25+ years on the tools before I started placing people. Straight talk, and I won't send you to a booth that doesn't fit.
Busy, well-established Coventry bodyshop, accident repair work. It's temp-to-perm and don't read \"temp\" as second-best. You trial them, they trial you, and for a good prepper it goes permanent. No gambling your notice on a place you've never seen.
You'll be: sanding, flatting and feather-edging, filler and stopper work, priming (etch, epoxy, polyester), accurate masking, DA and air-fed sanders, prepping bare metal and repairs for proper adhesion then signing off the surface before it hits the booth.
You'll need: proven bodyshop prep experience, confident with primer systems and masking, a methodical eye, and the pace to keep cars moving in a busy shop. Tickets (NVQ, City & Guilds, IMI) a bonus, not a deal-breaker if your work speaks for itself.
Hours: MonFri 96, Sat 91.
